Five Minute Friday: Color

4

December 9, 2011 by Beth Hess

I don’t remember who spotted it first. It feels like we all gasped at the same time. After driving most of the way through fog, rain, and clouds, a glorious rainbow spread across the valley. An amazing display right there on the side of the Interstate.

Bold. Rich. Color.

It seemed to follow us at 70mph. EVEN TO THE SIDE OF THE HILL! I saw a rainbow in a way I never before imaged – against the trees. Translucent red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet with the fall trees behind. I watched in wonder until it passed.

More rain.

And I am grateful that God shows up in color. Even in the rain.

Love your pictures. There is nothing quite like a rainbow to remind us of God. We love to find them in our family. Thank you for sharing.
