Five Minute Friday: Identity

May 11, 2012 by Beth Hess

It’s delicate work, and she choses location carefully. A stiff breeze can blow it away. A stray cat destroy it in seconds.

Should that happen she will start again. Perhaps she already has. Perhaps more than once.

Fragile. Precarious. Precious.

Tedious. Mundane. Exhausting.

Beautiful. One-of-a-Kind. Sacred.

It’s all of this. All at once. And then some.

But that’s just what a Mom does.

Join the 5-minute movement at The Gypsy Momma in her 5-Minute Friday challenge. Each week she posts a word. Set your timer for 5 minutes and just write. No stopping. No editing. Only 5 minutes. Just my style!

  2. Oh I loved that. I was right into the spider’s web and the last line you flipped me. Well done.
