In Between

Sometimes a soul shatters all in one instant. A miscarriage. An accident. A break up.

But sometimes it breaks slowly. In little fragments over time. Unnoticeable slivers. Until one day you find its dust on everything you touch. A spirit flaking away. A frog boiled slowly.

I’ve known both kinds. You probably have, too.

So our souls are stitched together. Over and over again. And we’re all just a bunch of mended strands and threadbare patches.

Until we let His love and grace flow through the in between spaces. Making us whole.

And shatter-proof.

Indeed there will still be pain. And heart-ache. And moments where we feel broken all over again. He never promised there wouldn’t be.

But when the Giver of Life is your In Between, it’s safe to let the pieces fall. Only to discover He’s been holding them all along.

This is beautiful! “But when the Giver of Life is your In Between, it’s safe to let the pieces fall. Only to discover He’s been holding them all along.” I could chew on this for a long time. So glad I stopped by!

Hey Beth, very encouraging words. Just right up my street now. I rest on His grace to get me from here to where I’m going to. Thank God He’s holding it all together. Thanks for sharing this way.
